Foodscience Ltd is a science-based company that specialises in the development and supply of technologies for the management of contamination in the fresh produce sector.
Our antimicrobial technology (AMT) product range was developed to address the challenges of fresh produce contamination using a technology-based approach that addresses aspects of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) across the total process from incoming raw produce to final packed product. HACCP is recognised internationally as a logical adaption of traditional inspection methods to a modern, science-based food safety system.
Foodscience AMT is used to decontaminate a wide range of fresh crops and plants, examples of which are root vegetables, salads, brassicas and tomatoes. It also has applications in horticulture for the treatment of ornamental plants and roses.
As part of this holistic approach, we have also used our AMT to reduce contamination in field irrigation systems, harvesting machinery and water treatment for greenhouse cultivation of soft fruit, plants and crops.
